Features
Prevention is the best self-defense.
That's why we've built a trio of safety features into IRMA that have the real potential to keep danger at a distance, but are also non-aggressive, easy to use and practical for everyday use.
We don't believe in fear motivation. We belive in motivation by beauty.
We want IRMA to be so beautiful and fun that girls will want to carry the self-defense features with them at all times.
What can Irma do already?
Irma is not a weapon, and its functionality is based on the premise that you pay attention to what's going on around you. That's when it can provide powerful assistance with deterring danger. Irma builds on the principle of EDC (every day carry) - offering the ability to always have safety tools with you without having to compromise between beauty and function.
Charge your phone
Because staying in touch and being able to call a taxi or your friends is the best way to avoid getting into a dangerous situation in the first place. MagSafe charging is integrated right into the body of the bag.
Shine bright
A key feature in keeping your distance from danger. Simply having a light underfoot reduces the likelihood in tens of percent that an attacker will feel like completing their scenario (prepared for darkness and anonymity). When shining directly in the face, 1200 lumens can buy you the moment needed to escape. The light is also useful for non-aggressively testing the intentions of a potential attacker.
Scream loudly
In case the attacker isn't deterred by visibility and the unpleasant situation persists, there's a crisis alternative: a 120dB pull-out alarm, complete with strobe light to get a head start on escape and the attention of your neighborhood. And for those times when you're short of breath, or maybe just need to whistle at a friend across the street, IRMA can even give a short shout...
What's next?
We're not stopping, we'll keep adding new features.
Against violence
In our world of glitter and unicorns, women want IRMA because it is beautiful and brings them joy. But in the real world, the violence threatening women outdoors is only part of the problem. That's why we've decided to support those who contribute to solving the other side of the problem. The one behind closed doors. The one that IRMA can't help with yet. We have therefore become sponsors of an organization "Pod svícnem" that fights domestic violence. And we will continue to do so.
